TSESC - Technical Sales Engineer – South Central

Salary - Negotiable depending on background and experience

What does the role entail: You will be developing cutting tool sales within end-user production facilities and distribution customers within your designated area. Supporting and advising customers with technical information and machining strategies, along with running tool trials with the customers. In working with our valued customer base our Sales Engineers promote and sell our range of products, by managing existing clients, sourcing new customers, following up sales leads and developing new revenue streams from the customer base.  Initial and regular product training will be given.

Location:
The candidate is to be located near the Southampton / Reading corridor

Key responsibilities in this sales and technical role are:

  • Delivering sales growth
  • Technically supporting customers
  • Solving customer’s machining issues
  • Establishing new customer relationships
  • Promoting our products to new and existing customers. 
  • Being a primary contact point for your customer base. 

What are we looking for: 

  • A motivated and driven professional with a passion for engineering and machining
  • A background in cutting tool application experience.
  • Ideally experience in selling to the metal cutting industry, general machining, automotive and aerospace. 
  • Ideally a sales track record in generating new business and account management of existing customers. 
  • You will be able to demonstrate proactivity, taking theinitiative and driving sales opportunities to completion.
  • Proficiency with MS Office in Outlook, Word, Excel,and PowerPoint.

Who will you be working with: 

You will be reporting directly to the regional sales manager, who has been with Guhring for 12 years and has a wealth of knowledge in Aerospace tooling and cutting tools in general,  and the department head who is the National Sales manager with 19 years of experience at Guhring.
